Don Molosky grew up in the Metro Detroit area and attended the University of Detroit where he obtained a degree in finance. After graduation he began working for General Motors as a financial analyst before attending Wayne State University Law School. While in law school, Don clerked for a large insurance defense law firm and the General Motors Corporate Tax Department. After graduation from law school in 1987, Don worked for a law firm that focused on business transactions. In 1991, Don successfully established Molosky & Co. in downtown Mount Clemens, specializing in general business law, real estate and estate planning. In 1998, Molosky & Co. opened a second office in Petoskey, which now serves as the headquarters of Molosky & Co.

Molosky & Co.‘s practice, while founded in general business, real estate, and estate planning, has quickly become an expert litigator for catastrophic personal injury cases. Molosky & Co. helps the physically and emotionally injured obtain the fair measure of money for the harms and losses they suffered. Essentially, we represent individuals in all facets of their business and legal affairs. We view ourselves as our client’s quarterback for all of their legal needs. In fact, we are proud to represent a great number of attorneys in their own business and personal matters.

Jennifer J. Schafer is a native of the Lapeer and Lansing areas and began her legal career as a prosecutor. Jennifer graduated with high honors from Michigan State University in 1992, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, and continued her education in Lansing, earning a Juris Doctor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1996. Jennifer began working in the St. Clair County Prosecutor’s Office while still in law school, and wrote more than 50 appellate briefs to the Michigan Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. After graduation from Cooley in 1996, Jennifer traveled north to Emmet County and spent five years as a prosecutor, handling a wide array of challenging cases in the probate, district, and circuit courts. She then assisted Judge Richard W. May of the 90th District Court, acting as an Attorney Magistrate in both Emmet and Charlevoix Counties. In 2004, Jennifer decided to enter the civil litigation arena, joining a prestigious Petoskey firm and practicing in the areas of real estate, business law, estate planning, and civil litigation, before joining Molosky & Co. in early 2011. Jennifer is an adjunct instructor at North Central Michigan College, teaching paralegal students in Research & Writing and Civil Litigation for the past 10 years. She also previously acted as an instructor with the National District Attorneys Association, teaching Essential Trial Advocacy. She is a trained mediator, and acts as a court-approved mediator and case evaluator. She is currently a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Representative Assembly, a position she has held for the past 4 years, also serving on the Committee for Libraries, Legal Research & Legal Publications, as well as the Drafting Committee. She is a member of the Emmet-Charlevoix Bar Association, and has been admitted to practice in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals since 2005.

Ryan R. Charles is a native of Petoskey having graduated from Petoskey High School in 1997 and began his legal career in public service. Ryan graduated cum laude from the University of the South, earning a B.A. in Political Science in 2002. Ryan obtained his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2006, graduating cum laude. After graduating from Pepperdine, Ryan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Eugene E. Siler, Jr., United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, where he worked on numerous circuit court decisions that now serve as federal appellate case law. Upon completing his one-year clerkship, Ryan served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps (“JAGC”) from 2007 to 2013. Ryan’s JAGC assignments included representing sailors and Marines facing adverse administrative action and prosecution under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (court-martial); a deployment to Afghanistan where he advised law of armed conflict detainee review boards; and Staff Judge Advocate (equivalent to general counsel) at Recruit Training Command, the Navy’s only “Boot Camp.” Most recently, Ryan served as Assistant General Counsel for one of the nation’s largest commercial real estate investment services companies from May 2013 through May 2014. As in-house counsel, Ryan focused on employment law matters and also served as the company’s first Compliance Officer as a publicly traded company. In 2014, Ryan made the decision to return to his hometown, joining the ranks of Molosky & Co. in June 2014.

Cynthia Taylor is a Northern Michigan native, growing up in Gaylord and relocating to the Petoskey area several years ago. She obtained certification through NALS for both her Professional Legal Secretary (PLS) and certified Professional Paralegal (PP) designations. She is a member of NALS, the association for legal professionals, as well as a member of the Paralegal Section of the State Bar of Michigan. She was awarded the Legal Professional of the Year Award by NALS of Northern Michigan in 1996, and is currently a test administrator for NALS.
